Dr. Melanie Landers received her doctorate of Naturopathic medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, in Portland, Oregon. Prior to this, she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Tech University. Dr Landers spent several years working in research labs, throughout her undergraduate training and while in graduate school. She has studied many aspects of biology ranging from endocrinology and population genetics to diet and nutritional effects upon cancer. Dr. Landers’ focus of study at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine was family practice, with an interest in diet and nutritional influences upon cancer and chronic disease. Her clinical training centered around family practice, with an emphasis on women and children, and currently specializes in pediatrics and infertility. Dr. Landers had a private practice in Southern Oregon, and most recently has moved back “home” to Texas to establish a private practice in Austin. Her practice includes herbs, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, nutrition, and diet and lifestyle counseling to help her clients achieve optimal health. Dr. Landers enjoys living in an area that supports an active, healthy lifestyle. She can be found out hiking the local trails with her dog enjoying nature and the beauty of each moment, when she is not happily working with clients.
